Julias mural is coming along

These are the newest additions to the mural. There is beloved Lamby and a her favorite animal ~ a horse.

I put great pressure on myself to try to capture the essence of "Lamby"! I think he turned out pretty well.

With the actual Lamby.
A VERY loved stuffed animal of my daughter.

Whimsical Castle

This is a computer generated graphic that I designed. I plan to have it blown up to a 4' x 6' size on decal paper and adhere to the wall.

The whole picture is in pointillism. Which means it's made completely of  tiny dots. Each color is comprised of many different colored dots and when you back up they blend together.
The great thing about this is that it can be reproduced over and over again. If I had to paint this by hand it would take many hours and thousands of dollars.
Here is a close up of the pointillism technique.

Recycled Ornament

The next ornament is made from the Lienenkugel Honey Weiss beer. This one is a larger size than the Oktoberfest ornament I posted prior. I posted a picture that has both in it to give you an idea as to the size difference. I also used a clear cord instead of a ribbon to expand the different ways they can be altered and give a new look.

Two sizes

Some paintings from the three season porches at home

Finally!!!!...
I haven't had a chance to get familiar with all the technology involved with this until now. So I hope you enjoy my first attempt at posting with photos. These are just some of the murals I've painted. I'll definitely be posting more frequently now! Thanks for stopping by.

A newer painting from the downstairs porch.
I love how the hasta and delphiniums turned out.

This shows the tall sunflowers searching for the light. I painted cute butterflies and bees at the request of the kids. They then named them. However, the names change constantly so I don't get too attached.

A faux peg board with a straw hat and drying lavender from the upstairs porch, painted around the summer of 2000.

The upstairs porch is a collaboration of many years. It has paintings of items from every season except winter, I do plan to add that next summer. This is a part of the Fall section, with a cornstalk that reaches up higher than what is shown in the picture.

A sapling maple tree between two porch windows.

A close-up of how the maple tree wraps
 around the window opening.
